Recent Introductions by other hybridizers

Gryphon Gardens is not a commercial business but we do sell our introductions and some of our more than 800 daylilies. Listed below are a few of the hundreds of daylilies that are available. These have proven to be particularly well suited for our difficult climate.

Aqua Velva Man (Hanson 2001) $15
31 5.5 M sev tet orchid lavender blend above a green throat. One of Curt’s best, but little known.

New - Darkest Before Dawn (Mahieu 2004), $30
8  30 M sev dip . A rare, special UF.

Flying Down to Rio (Schwarz 2002). $20
(Schwarz photo) 5-  8.5 MLa dor tet orang/red eye UF. A dramatic, tall UF, good parent.

Flying Trapeze (Moldovan 2005). $30
36  5.5 MLa dor tet. Orange red UF. Probably Moldovan’s only UF. Good parent.

Rolling Raven (Stamile 2007)  $35
38   10.25 EM ev tet. Very black. Hardy evergreen.

Freewheeling (Stamile 2005)  $30
36 8 EE ev  tet yellow/reddish chevron. Although evergreen, very hardy in the north. Makes a dramatic clump in the garden.

Frog’s Eye (Stamile 2005).  $30
38 8.5 E ev tet lavender self. Hardy evergreen; good parent, both pollen and pod.

Heavenly Masquerade (Gossard 2005) $20
32 7 MLa dor tet. Maroon/purple eye. Like all of Gossard’s intros., vigorous and hardy in the north.
