Welcome to Gryphon Gardens
Daylily display garden
We are located on ¾ of an acre in the historic city of Guelph, Ontario, 100km (60 miles) southwest of Toronto. It is an American Hemerocallis Society Display Garden and an AHS Historic Daylily Display Garden. Our display garden is open weekends during July and August. For other times, contact us.
Our garden is organized historically, starting with a major collection of species daylilies followed by the best cultivars (hybrids) from 1893 to the present. Included is a collection of the introductions of Dr. Arlow Stout, recognized as the father of the modern daylily.
We hybridize for tet UFs and spiders. We also have an experimental program of crossing tets with several fulva varieties.
All photos are taken in our garden unless specified otherwise.
